How to get approved by Google Adsense
Google Adsense is a program where you can place Google ads on your site. Every time someone clicks these ads you earn money. It’s a great way to start monetizing your site and gain some motivation along the road. But you have to apply for this and get approved by Google. Let me tell you how it’s done.
First of all about the program itself. It is by no means the very best way of monetizing your site and also won’t make you a millionaire. But it’s a great way to get a sense of “making money online”. It’s a great feeling when you make your first dollar online and the easiest way to achieve this is by joining Google Adsense.
Google Adsense is not like the other Google tools where you only have to register yourself and can use it immediately. It’s a process where you have to submit your site and someone at Google will decide if your site is good enough to be showing Google ads or not. Your site can easily be rejected as well.
The good news is, it’s not that hard to get into the Google Adsense program, you just have to make sure that your site complies with the checklist of Google approvers and I will tell you what you should aim for.
How much time do you need to get approved for Google Adsense?
The first question is that when should you apply for Google Adsense? I have read opinions saying that you shouldn’t bother about Google Adsense till you don’t have at least 100.000 visitors per month. I think it’s insane. When I applied successfully for Google Adsense I had less than 10 visitors per day.
Of course you won’t make much money when you only have a couple of visitors. But you can gain much more: motivation.
Because after the first few weeks you will slowly but steadily loose your motivation when realizing that actually it’s not that easy running a successful site or blog. But when you see that finally someone clicked on your ads and made you some money (even just a few cents) it will boost your motivation and will to add more content to your site and keep up the work.
So when should you apply for Google Adsense? I would say you should have at least 8-10 good articles, a good website structure and an acceptable design (any free themes will do that look good). Usually if you started from zero with no experience then it will take at least 3-4 weeks*.
(*I have read somewhere that in certain parts of the world eg. China or India you have to own your site for at least 6 months before you can get approved. As for me, I applied after less than 6 weeks and got approved instantly.)
What are your chances to get approved for Google Adsense?
It’s hard to tell, because it’s not an exact process. Keep in mind that someone, a real person in a Google office will in fact visit your site, browse it through and tell an opinion about it. I believe that the exact same site could be approved or rejected depending on the person visiting it. Is he a newbie? A veteran? A young person? An American or an Indian guy? Has he already had lunch? Is he in a good mood or bad mood? It’s kind of random.
But there are some rules that if you follow you can maximize your chances and we will share this list with you.
How much money can you make from Google Adsense?
There are no exact numbers, but don’t expect much. There are many factors, but only about 10-50 out of every 1000 visitors will click on your ads. One click can make you anything from 1 cent to a dollar or even more, it depends on a lot of factors.
Altogether I would say that if you have 1000 visitors per month you will make about $1-$10. Of course it’s not the money to make a living, but at least you can earn enough to pay for your domain name and maybe even for your hosting plan. And it’s a good start.
Having some passive income is great, even if it’s only $1, because your site will grow constantly and as your site grows you will have more visitors and as you have more visitors you will make more money. Not to mention that you will probably have more sites in the future and numbers will start to add up. It’s a great game to play.
What is the benefit of being approved by Google Adsense?
The obvious benefit is that you can finally place some ads and earn money. But there is one much bigger benefit: you only need to be approved once!
Once your site is approved you will be able to launch several other new sites that you can monetize instantly. You don’t have to apply again, you just have to add your new sites to a list.
And it’s a huge advantage. Your very first site really has to be good to be approved by Google. But your new sites can be just a couple of pages and you can instantly monetize them.
Don’t take me wrong though! According to the terms and agreements that you accept when applying to Google Adsense you also accept that all of your sites where you place ads will meet a certain quality!
But in reality most likely noone will check this. Of course it doesn’t mean that you should create shitty sites for Adsense. It only means that you will have time to develop them fully and still you can make some money out of it in the meanwhile.
So what are the most crucial requirements your site has to meet to be approved for Google Adsense?
1. Your site should look good
Don’t overthink it, any free WordPress themes should do, but when you look at it it should be appealing or visually pleasing.
2. Have some good content
I believe you should have at least 8-10 good articles (of at least 500 words), but the more the better. You can cleverly hide that your site is small by adding a couple of widgets here and there, related articles, recent posts, comments.
3. Have an About page and a Contact Us page
Yeah, you should create these two and add them to your main menu. It can be simple, but you definitely have to provide some ways for your visitors to contact you.
4. Create a Privacy Policy page
These days with GDPR and all these stuff it becomes more and more important. There are tons of samples online, just pick one and copy-paste it to your site, it shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes.
5. Make sure you comply with Google Policies
Basically it means you don’t have any prohibited content. It’s kind of common sense, so unless you are running a site about weapons, drugs, violence, porn, hacking or any kind of illegal activities you shold be fine.
If you take care of these 5 things you have a very good chance that your site will be approved for Google Adsense.
What if you get rejected?
First of all, don’t worry, it happens. If you get rejected just take a break, work some more on your site and you can try again any time later. Of course you should not just resubmit your site. Make sure you do improve the looks and contents of your site, I would say you should give it another 3-4 weeks before applying again.

They say that it may take 2-3 months or even more till Google approves your site if you are from India. Also, when getting rejected I would wait at least 2-3 weeks before applying again. Your site looks nice by the way, maybe you were just unlucky.

My adsence was running, but suddenly I received a mail saying that your domain https://jobseekh.com has been disallowed, can I get adsence activated again. I did not receive any mail from google.
You should try to find out why they disallowed your site before applying again, there may be some changes you will have to make.
The problem is that they are not replying on mail for my website https://jobseekh.com.
Also, I used that code for my other website https://wans.co.in, though I have removed the code from the website, but can I apply from this website.
